Friday Night Extra 27.1.17 Your Friday evening mix including introducing the music of Lisa Harman.

It was good to be back on Phoenix98FM. Whilst away I met Lisa Harman. She was playing and singing on the cruise ship Balmoral. Tonight we included two tracks from her, that were very well received by listeners. We shall certainly feature her again. More information about Lisa can be found via her Facebook account, Starnow and Soundcloud. There was lots of interaction with listeners tonight. We did a story about Grayson Erhard singing Superstition in the lobby of the Anaheim Marriott and Stevie Wonder walking in. Grayson said he did not know the words to verses two and three. Stevie joined him on stage and they sang together. Listener Tania e-mailed in the say she was a young girl in communist Bulgaria. They smuggled a cassette into the village. They went indoors, shut the curtains, got a coat to go over them to deaden the noise as they listened to Stevie Wonder. No western pop-music was allowed. We were just amazed in the studio. We also remembered the careers of Butch Trucks, drummer in the Allman Brothers, singer Peter Sarstedt and actors Gordon Kaye and Mary Tyler Moore.

Tonight’s playlist.
Booker T & MG’s – Crazy
Barbara Dixon – January, February
La La land soundtrack – Sunshine
Beatles – Here, there and everywhere
