We will start today’s Rumour Roundup with a done deal! Oscar has completed his move to Shanghai SIPG a rumour that I discussed last week. I gave this rumour 5/10 didn’t really see it going through but there you go the fee is reportedly £60million! He is also reportedly on £500k a week! Crazy money.

Victor Lindelof – Benfica To Manchester United (£38 million) *Reported Amount

Reports broke on Tuesday morning that Manchester United were in talks with Benfica about a possible transfer for Swedish international defender Victor Lindelof. Sources in Portugal have confirmed that Manchester United have started talks with Benfica president Luis Filipe Viera about a transfer so this rumour has strength to it! With Manchester United defender Bailey off to the African cup of nations Manchester United could do with some reinforcement In the defensive sector of the pitch. With Lindelof being described as the Swedish Rio Ferdinand by ex red devil Jesper Blomqvist I’m sure the fans would welcome him as well. This transfer rumour has loads of potential and I believe it will go through hence the high rating.

Jermain Defoe – Sunderland To West Ham (£6 Million Reported fee)

Slaven Bilic could make a drastic bid to bring Jermain Defoe back to where his professional career began 12 years ago. Reports suggest Sunderland owner Ellis Short is looking to sell the club so the sale of star man Defoe might be a good move for Short as it would lower the clubs pay roll. Some West Ham fans may hold a slight grudge against Defoe as back in 2004 he refused a contract and signed for London rivals Spurs. At the moment West Ham could do with a goal scorer up front as so far this season West Ham’s strikers have only scored 2 goals in the Premier league compared to Defoe’s 8 goals. With West Ham also being linked to Ac Milan’s forward Carlos Bacca, Defoe could well be one of a few options for the Hammers to go for in January.

Morgan Schniderlin – Manchester United to West Brom (£16 Million reported fee)

The out of favour Frenchmen at Man United could be on his way out in January due to lack of play time under Mourinho’s reign at the Red Devil’s, he has not featured since November 19th. Reportedly West Brom have made an offer of £18M to take the midfielder away from Old Trafford. It seems Man united would not mind letting Morgan leave as in the pre Christmas press conference Mourinho stated “if the offer is right” and “I would not stop him going” regarding Schniderlin situation at the club. This suggests that he will probably exit this window the question is whether it will be West Brom or Everton as Everton have also shown an interest in the midfielder.

Jordan Pickford – Sunderland to Arsenal

Arsense Wenger is reportedly keeping an eye on Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford as an long term replacement for Petr Cech. Sources reported that Arsenal will try and buy Pickford in January then loan him back to Sunderland for the rest of the season. You can see why Arsenal are interested as the Young keeper has had an impressive season at the Stadium of Light this season making 67 saves that’s 2nd highest in the league this year, safe to say Pickford has a load of potential!
