Andy J Gallagher live at Phoenix FM

Hear the interview and session again:

It’s fair to describe Andy J Gallagher as a bona fide stalwart of the Essex Music Scene. I saw Andy’s first band, The Shopkeeper Appeared, 24 years ago at the Pink Toothbrush in Rayleigh supporting Irish indie nonsense merchants The Sultans of Ping – another little known band, Radiohead, shared the support with Andy that day.

Andy came down today for his second session with Phoenix FM – the first being way back in 2009. With guitarist Millsy we had a chat about his musical career and played three songs for us, which you can see and hear below:

Andy has a new single, Sheena’s Big Night Out/Because We Are, out on JAC64 Records – the songs were produced by long-time collaborator and ex-Damned guitar/keyboard player Roman Jugg.

You can find out more about Andy at his official website – www.andyjgallagher.com.
