Last summer, NHS Basildon and Brentwood Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) launched its “Fit for the Future” community engagement programme, seeking people’s views on how the local NHS should adapt and change to meet the challenges of the future.

Dr Aravinda Guniyangodage, who is a GP and also the Chair of Basildon and Brentwood CCG, spoke to Keith Rogers about the programme and how people can help shape the future of the NHS in our area.

The formal public consultation closes on Monday 12th September 2016, and a number of public meetings are planned to talk about views received, including a meeting this coming Thursday at 6pm at Brentwood Community Hospital.
