So what’s been the most played song on UK radios this year so far? We are about to find out!

This list of the Top 20 songs has been put together by a airplay chart company called Radio Monitor and it is based on data from 408 radio stations of all types across the UK, including local and national.

Before we see the most popular songs, a couple of facts:

There is only one song on the list which was released in 2016, despite it being the top 20 most played of of the yer so far. All the other songs were previously released – 11 of them being in 2015. Zayn’s Pillow Talk is the only 2016 track to make the list.

There are no British acts in the top 5 – Coldplay is the first British act to appear on the list, at number 7.
