Artist Sue Mills talks Brentwood Art Trail & World Vitiligo Day 25th June

Sue mills pic

Joined in the studio by Sue Mills who is a local artist from Hutton.

Sue talked about her art work, which is part of the Brentwood Art Trail and is currently being shown at Shenfield Library until the end of July.

Part of Sue’s artwork features paitnings of people with a skin condition, Vitiligo, which Sue has herself.

“I started painting these portraits to help spread awareness of the condition, which is where you lose your skin pigment and parts or all of your skin become white. I have gained much support on social media, especially the British Skin Foundation and Tiffany Grant, whose tattoo ‘went viral’ which said, ‘It’s called Vitiligo’.

Sue is also hoping to raise money for the British Skin Foundation by selling/raffling/auctioning one of my art works.
