The 3rd annual Brentwood Community Firewalk will be taking place this year on 29th October at a new venue – The Society of Old Brentwoods in Ashwells Road, Brentwood.
Organisers Carmel Jane, Penny Hollington, Mary Hill, Jane Bennett, Paul Golder and Chris Froebel at Old Brentwoods with the Earl of Brentwood and a dragon!
This is a great opportunity for people to challenge themselves by baring their soles and walking over red hot ashes heated to over 1200 degrees Fahrenheit, and at the same time raising funds for any charity of their choice, preferably ones active in Brentwood and surrounding area.
The event this year is sponsored by Bennetts Funerals as part of their 125-year anniversary celebrations. Phoenix FM is once again part of the organising committee and our aim is to put on an event that can benefit ANY charity, small or large. Our two previous firewalks have raised over £30,000 for many local organisations.
All walkers will be required to attend an “Hour of Power” safety seminar prior to firewalking. The seminar is delivered by Scott Bell, a World record holder for longest firewalk and owner of organisers UK Firewalk.

After the event there will be a special Halloween-themed party at Old Brentwoods where you’ll be able to sample Firestarter, a special beer brewed by the Brentwood Brewing Company for the occasion.
