Harry Styles shocked fans this week when he cut his well known and loved long hair! But he did it for a good cause, to donate to the Little Princess Trust who provide wigs made of real hair for children who have lost their hair through cancer treatment. Harry revealed his cut lock on a picture on Instagram of his hand holding a pony tail with a caption next to it saying ‘Woops’.
Harry is not the only singer who has been known and loved for his hair styles, in fact many Pop and RnB stars have had strange cuts and colours and them wonderful people are who made up the playlist for tonight’s show!
Willow Smith’s Whip My Hair, was an appropriate song to start with, which in the video showcases a few different styles, including a big heart on her head!
From one Smith to another, lead singer of Bastille Dan seems to always have a bit of a Jedward thing going on – or looks as if he has stuck his fingers in a socket!
Katy Perry is one for dressing up in her music videos and it doesn’t just stop with her clothes! California Gurls is just one example with the different colour wigs she wears.
Perhaps the artist with the most colourful hair of all the artists played tonight, is Nicki Minaj. She’s even had leopard print and blue and green leopard print in her hair!
Jessie J also likes to change up her hair colour via wigs, but for the It’s My Party music video she supported a shaved blonde do.
Lady Gaga is known for her outrageous fashion and with that comes hair style – if it’s not hidden under some weird huge hat!
When Justin Bieber was a teen and first hit the music scene he always had his well known fairly long styled cut, but now that he has grown up he has given it a lighten and likes to change it up – usually still keeping it long but styled much more differently.
Rihanna seems to suit every length and colour that she goes. But she likes to mix it up.
Miley Cyrus is probably one of the most well known for changing up her hair styles. Just like Bieber we knew her as Miley with the long brown hair and Hannah Montannah with the long blonde hair – now she has stuck to blond but it is very short. And she’s not afraid to spike it up – sometimes it looks good, other times she looks like the Cynthis doll from the Rugrats!
Sia wears that wig to hide her face for a bit of privacy – though whenever anyone sees a long fringe with a bow on top, we know it’s Sia!
The Weeknd usually always in dreads but spiked up – you could almost compare his hair to the leaves of a pineapple at times!
Jason Derluo mostly likes to keep his hair short but is very artistic with the patterns he has shaved in his hair – when the sides haven’t been shaved off!
Blue and pink seem to be Demi Lovato’s favourite colours when it comes to hair and with them bold colours she’s even be brave enough to shave a little bit off one side too.
Another brave one for shaving the sides is Cassie! With pretty much half her head shaved – brave, brave woman!
Britney Spears had to be included on here, she has beautiful hair but how can we forget the break down she had in 2007 and shaved it all off!
A well known Chris Brown hair style is one of when he was much younger with the star shaved on the side, but he has also opted for the colourful look even having literally every colour of the rainbow in his hair at the same time!
Curly, wavy, straight or platted, Kesha is another one who likes to express herself through her hair, including length and colours too!
Living up to her name Pink has had that colour hair but she likes to keep it short with the punky rock kinda look – and it suits her.
Gwen Sefani as calmed down with her hair, but in the 90’s it was very, different. Having blue knots and pink plats, it’s good she grew out of it!
Though Christina Aguileria’s style has changed over the years too, dreads ,curly, straight, dip dye, high lights and even grey!
