Good Friday Night Extra 25th March 2016

Studio guests Claire, Adrian and Tim told us about some events that had been happening locally today to remember the significance of Good Friday. There had been a number of Walks of Witness. Tim gave details about the walk in Brentwood, with well over 500 people. He particularly enjoyed the band that played outside the cathedral at the end of the walk. Claire had been on the walk in Ingatestone, which had begun at the Catholic church and had stopped at the Elim and United Reformed Churches on the way to the parish church. She noted how moving it was to see the cross being carried by a group of young girls. Adrian and Tim gave details of the three hour meditation covering Holy Week held at Christ Church Warley. Claire spoke about the hour of silent meditation with prayer stations in Ingatestone Parish Church. Jonty and Claire explained why Easter mattered to them. In the first hour we had a number of music items related to the Easter and faith themes. In the second hour we reverted to the usual mixture of stories, requests and music across many genres.
