Friday Night Extra 27.11.15 I love Paris

Good to be back after a heavy cold last week. No voice, coughing and sneezing does not make great radio! We began each hour with tribute songs to remember all those caught up in the incidents in Paris two weeks ago. The music was as eclectic a mix as ever, added to by some interesting music requests. In the news stories we heard about Manish Wadhwani who took his family to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park and pre-booked a £5 ticket with National car Parks. He returned to a ticket of £3700. Eventually it transpired he had not registered leaving when booking an identical ticket three months ago. In Louisiana a mobile confessional has been created from a converted ambulance. The plan is to take it across the state for a year, starting in December. Actor John Middleton, Emmerdale’s vicar, says that he often receives confessions through the post as people think he is a real vicar. In Yokohama 601 babies took part in the worlds largest crawling competition. The winner’s prize was a headset digital camera. Apparently baby related competitions are becoming more popular around the world. Imagine all the crying!
