Today we heard all about the duck who is quite partial, to a refreshing drop of beer. Unfortunately after perhaps indulging rather more enthusiastically than usual, became involved in a pub brawl with a dog. It seems that the duck is not only a regular drinker at THE OLD COURTHOUSE INN, down in Chudleigh, Devon, but together with his owner, Barrie Hayman, performs on stage for charity. On this occasion there could be only one winner – the dog! However the duck named, STAR, is expected to make a full recovery and will soon be back strutting his stuff in front of a delighted audience.
From the other side of the Atlantic comes news of an Orlando based attorney and would-be Senator, who has come to prominence after admitting that he sacrificed a goat and drank its blood. He is standing for election on a platform which includes promises to start a second civil war and a eugenics programme which would sterilise, euthanise or forcibly abort ‘the weakest, least intelligent, and most diseased citizens. Looks like a winning formula to me!
