Friday Night Extra 9.10.15 with guest missionary Robin Fenner

Robin and his wife Janet joined me in the studio today, having flown in from South Africa during the week. Robin told us about having had two diagnoses for cancer, the first when he was just aged 31. These had led to him re-examining the purpose of life. His Christian faith had helped him during these times and he had felt a strong calling to leave his employment and go and work as a missionary in South Africa. Together with his wife Janet, they spoke passionately about the work in a local orphanage and the relationships they had made with the children since beginning in January this year. The children have to leave the orphanage at eighteen years of age. Robin’s desire is to give them a sense of hope and appropriate skills as they look towards the future. Robin also has a vision to establish Bible colleges. Like all missionaries, the work is non-salaried, with finance needed from individual supporters to enable the work to continue. They can be supported through Elim missionaries. www.elimmissions.co.uk/fenner
Robin gives regular updates of the work on Facebook.
