Friday Night Extra 25.9.15 The night before the BBQ

After a lovely sunny day in Brentwood, and with the big BBQ at Ingatestone tomorrow, we heard a couple of tracks from ECHO, the live band at the event. Rene said she could not wait to be dancing. The news items included Americans dressing up their dogs in outfits like the Pope to go with his visit to the USA. Only in America! There was the anniversary for the oldest business in the UK, RJ Balson, butchers in Bridport, Dorset, for 500 years. According to a new survey, the happiest place to live in the UK is Fermanagh and Omagh. The least happy is Bolsover. We were all rather alarmed by the pilot scheme in Thurrock where parents and teachers from Tilbury Pioneer Academy have been trained as traffic wardens and authorised to issue tickets outside the school. Moira tweeted that this was not a good idea. This is where you heard about it first.
