Brentwood Borough Council has signed up to GRANTnet to support community groups, organisations and individuals who are seeking funding from both the private and public sector. GRANTnet is a detailed database of thousands of funders. Once registered, you can access the site to carry out your own search. Brentwood Community Fund

The Council’s Brentwood Community Fund 2015 is now open for applications for a share of £40,300.

Individuals, groups and organisations can apply for grants of up to £3,500 for causes and projects that will improve the quality of life for local people and tackle the issues that they think are important.

The fund, which is in its fourth year, will open on Monday 6th April and will run until Sunday 6th September. The bids will be assessed and reported to the Community Services Committee in November, when a decision on the allocation of funding will be made. Previously it has helped fund a new war memorial in Doddinghurst; go towards buying emergency medical equipment to support the volunteers for Four Parishes First Responders; and money to help youngsters play cricket at Brentwood Cricket Club.

The projects should show they are sustainable long term and firmly support the community-based priorities in the Council’s Corporate Plan 2013-16 under the key themes of:
– Street Scene and Environment
– Localism
– A Prosperous Borough
– Housing, Health and Wellbeing
– A Safe Borough
