A busy weekend for Southend quartet Asylums – as well as playing the Village Green stage, the band have been looking after the Idea13 stage in the guise of their alter-ego record label Cool Thing. (Which also meant that a lot of bands played with COOL THING in big letters behind them, which must have made for a lot of good band photos).
We’ve been playing their singles lots on Phoenix FM over the last year, and other people are starting to take notice too – recent single Joy In A Small Wage hit the BBC Radio 1 playlist in June.
