First up tonight I was joined in the studio once again by good buddy of the show, local singer-songwriter Olaf Stando. Since his last appearance last year, Olaf has moved to Scotland to go to university, but has still found time to write new material during study breaks, and we were treated to a sample of that tonight. Next up I was joined in the studio by Counties, a new band formed from the ashes of We Were Lions, who recorded a session for us last year. They’ve just recruited a new bassist to complete their line-up, and plan to release their debut EP (of which we were treated to a sample tonight) this summer. Expect Counties’ brand of rock mixed with pop-punk to be a sound you’ll be hearing plenty more of very soon – find them now on Facebook and Twitter.
