More headliners announced for Brentwood Festival 2015

International pop star, Pixie Lott, returns to Brentwood for her first concert since 2010 when she takes the stage on Sunday, 19 July as part of the town’s annual summer music festival.

Pixie Lott

Pixie, a former Brentwood County High School pupil, catapulted to worldwide fame in 2009 with her debut album ‘Turn It Up’ which featured five consecutive Top 20 singles, including the #1 hits ‘Mama Do’ and ‘Boys and Girls’. Pixie has gone on to sell over 4 million singles and 1.6 million albums worldwide. She is also a four time BRIT Award nominee and winner of two MTV European Music Awards.

Pixie Lott says: “I’m really excited to return to Brentwood and perform in front of a great festival crowd this summer.”

Also added to the 2015 Brentwood Festival line up are international headliners, Billy Ocean and Sister Sledge.

Billy Ocean

Billy Ocean first shot to fame in 1976 and has sold over 30 million records to date. His No. 1 singles include ‘Caribbean Queen’, ‘When the Tough Gets Going’, and ‘Get Outta My Car, Get Into My Life’. 2015 sees Billy Ocean celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of the ‘Suddenly’ album which included the smash hits ‘Caribbean Queen’ and the title track.

Sister Sledge

Being flown in especially for an exclusive set at the Brentwood Festival, 70s and 80s legends Sister Sledge are best remembered for their blockbuster song, ‘We Are Family’. They also topped the US R&B charts with singles such as ‘He’s the Greatest Dancer’, and ‘Lost in Music’ and had a UK No.1 record with ‘Frankie’.

Jason Jopson, Brentwood Festival Director, says: “This year’s line up is phenomenal, with something for everyone. We’re flying in Sister Sledge to kick off our festival with a great party vibe, which will continue into Saturday with Billy Ocean’s Caribbean-influenced set. To have hometown pop royalty, Pixie Lott, performing on the Sunday with her fresh, fun sound just rounds everything off perfectly.”

Other featured headliners include The Human League, Alexander O’Neal, Jocelyn Brown, Rebecca Ferguson, Jack Pack and Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel. Over 20 supporting acts will take the stage over the 3 day festival, with music ranging from acoustic to Americana to alternative.

Festival Co-ordinator, Laurie Edmonds, says: “The reaction to the full line up for the Brentwood Festival has been amazing. We try to improve the event year on year, whilst keeping ticket prices affordable to so that everyone can come along with the family. This promises to be the best festival yet, with music that appeals to all ages.”

Adult tickets from £25, youth tickets £10, children under 10 attend for FREE. VIP passes and overnight camping are also available.
