Friday Night Extra 10.4.15 Music after a sunny day

What a lovely sunny day we had today in beautiful downtown Brentwood. We needed some music to keep the mood set by the weather. In the news stories we heard about a taxi driver in Walsall who handed back a rucksack to a passenger who had left it in his taxi. It contained £10,000 as the man had just been to car auctions and sold a car. There was also the Japanese 100 year old woman who had just completed a 1500 metre swim! She only took up swimming at age 82 years!! Apparently different kinds of music can enhance the taste of food, according to a scientific study. With vastly increased demands for chocolate around the world, it is predicted it will have doubled in price by 2020. Better eat it now!

Tonight’s playlist

Marc Almond & Gene Pitney – Something’s gotten hold of my heart
Booker T & MGs – Crazy – show theme
James Morrison – A place in the sun
Van Morrison & Clare Teal – Carry a torch
Clare Teal – In a mellow mood
Dire Straits – The walk of life
Beatles – In my life – requested by Michael
Diana Krall – Operator
Queen – Who wants to live forever?
Harry Chapin – Taxi – loved by Lee
Kate Bush – The man with a child in his eyes
Harry James – Theme from Taxi
Susan Boyle – You’ll see
Tracy Chapman – Fast car – requested by Michael
Elvis Presley – Return to sender – loved by Derek
Peter Cincotti – Charokee – have you ever heard the piano played so quickly?
Billy Joel – Piano man
Johny Cash – Legend of John Henry’s hammer – for Phyl who requested any Johny Cash track. This was an eight minute marathon story song.
Toto – Africa
Nat King Cole – Unforgettable – for Joan
Mac Almond – The days of Pearly Spencer
Beach Boys – Breakaway
Jamie Cullum & Laura Mvula – Good morning heartache – loved by Brad chilling before his show.
Mark Antione – Madrid.

Join me next week when my guests are Giselle, Polly & Sarah, all confirmed on Easter Eve at Chelmsford Cathedral.
