Thought I’d play a few lesser known 80’s tracks this evening, like Amazulu’s Too Good to be Forgotten from 1986. The band had a total of 4 top 20 hits as their fame was widened by appearances on The Young Ones (1984) and Top of the Pops (1985).

1980 – Dallas aired its “A House Divided” episode, which led to eight months of international intrigue regarding Who shot J.R.? “Who Done It?” was, at the time, the highest-rated television episode in U.S. history. it was estimated that 83 million people watched the episode! WHO DID IT? Kristin Shepard (J.R.’s scheming sister-in-law and mistress)

1980 – Just after midnight on 20 March 1980, the Radio Caroline ship ‘Mi Amigo’ foundered in a storm after losing its anchor and drifting. It began taking in water and the crew were rescued by lifeboat. The generator was left running but the pumps could not manage and the Mi Amigo sank ten minutes later
