Where do I go from here?

The boss was really looking for a top flight presenter to deputise for Mike Jones this afternoon but in the event I was the only one available!

La Plagne

Anyway with the weekend coming up we looked at a couple of stories about getting away from it all AND get away from it all was exactly what a Belgian coach driver did when he took a party of students who were planning a few days skiing in the French Alpine resort of La Plagne. Unfortunately instead of the snowy Alpine peaks, the driver delivered the party to a town of the same name in South West France close to the Spanish border. Apparently undeterred by passing through Carcassonne or views of the Mediterranean sparkling in the sunshine, the intrepid driver continued to follow the instructions being disseminated by his device. Only upon arrival at the wrong La Plagne did it dawn on him that something might be a bit awry. After an 800 mile detour the party eventually arrived at their intended destination 24 hours late tired, hungry and thirsty.

Meanwhile in the Cotswolds an elderly driver was finding it difficult getting anywhere as it seems her car had lost its “poke” and wouldn’t do more than 40MPH nuts in engineeven with her foot flat to the floor. After a series of tests mechanics at her local garage discovered that the reason for the sluggish behaviour was down to a squirrel having filled the air filter with its stock of nuts. So if your car starts going slow check for loose nuts!

Have a good weekend and I’ll see you again on Monday,
Scott
