First up tonight I was joined in the studio by James and Joe from our good buddies The Ends. The foursome (also featuring Mike and Liam) have just released their new single, You Write the Hits (I Write the B-Sides), available on 7” vinyl from record stores and their website www.theends.co.uk. You can next see them at St Moritz Club in Soho on Friday (13th) supporting David Woodcock. Click above to hear them talking about their recent in-store gig in Leigh and the crazy things that happen whenever they play the single live…

Then making his Phoenix FM debut was Paul from The Maida Vales. The multinational foursome , with members from the UK, Italy and Latvia, are currently putting together material for their debut album. You can hear recent demos from them on their website www.themaidavales.com. The band can be seen live at the Paper Dress Vintage in Old Street, London next Thursday (19th) alongside Nick & The Sun Machine and Zoo. Have a listen to Paul chatting about just how many auditionees he had for the band, the story behind their name, and how people can get involved in their first album release.
