First up tonight, I chatted to Symmetry frontman Jared Hara, just before he went on stage in Nottingham as part of LA-based quartet’s nationwide UK tour. Jared turned to music after losing his eyesight when he was aged 12, and went on to form Symmetry in early 2013. They can be seen supporting McBusted at Islington’s O2 Academy on Friday 13th March, and with new material due very soon, they’re a name worth remembering! Click above to listen back to the interview (note: the sound quality is a bit fuzzy in places, and due to a recording fault, my questions and Jared’s answers overlap in places. Apologies for any confusion this may cause). Find them at www.symmetryband.com.

Then I chatted to Metasic frontman Joshua Woo in the studio, just ahead of the band’s gig at the O2 Academy in Islington. The fivesome released their debut EP Falling Into Place at the end of last year, which is available as both a digital download and as a USB memory stick – a ‘meta-stic’! As well as the O2 Academy gig this Saturday (7th), they can also be seen live at the Sebright Arms in East London on March 20th. The EP can be downloaded/ordered from their Bandcamp page.

Click to listen back to the interview and hear about the unusual story behind the formation of the band and the EP, and how Joshua now has the nickname “Evil Elvis”…

We also heard two acoustic tracks courtesy of Ease Springs, looking forward to welcoming them into the studio soon.
