How to ring-fence all you hold dear

IMG_0039 In the first hour of today’s show I was joined by DAN ATTFIELD and NICK GOLDBERG from AFFINTY WILLS.

On today’s programme they lifted the veil off the potentially complex issue of LIFETIME ASSET TRUSTS. In very simple terms they explained just how you can ring-fence your assets (house, cash etc) to protect them for your dependents and named beneficiaries whilst preventing them from being used, if for example, you had to be taken into care later in life. They also outlined some of the other benefits such as the lack of probate fees and the fact that Trusts, unlike wills, cannot be challenged. Listen again to what Dan and Nick had to say on this subject by clicking on the link below: –

In the second hour of today’s show we heard about the flag collector who caused an outcry when he raised the standard of the Waffen SS over his house in Doncaster and about the Cornish councillors caught up in a storm when they tried to name a road “Hitlers Walk”. Apparently the name was actually meant to commemorate an overzealous park official who used to strut round terrorising locals. Perhaps the Doncaster resident should consider taking his holidays in Cornwall!
