This week’s show pays tribute to the late Clark Terry, who sadly passed away last week. He was a wonderful musician and educator who shared his passion and knowledge with everyone who met him. He was also the first African American to play as part of a regular band on US television. Of the experience he said: “We had to be models, because I knew we were in a test… We couldn’t have a speck on our trousers. We couldn’t have a wrinkle in the clothes. We couldn’t have a dirty shirt.”
