After Madonna’s cape accident this week during her live performance at The Brit’s, tonight’s show took a look at what other embarrassing moments have happened to singers on stage.

Encase you missed the Brits or have been hiding under a rock and not seen the news or been on social media, here is a reminder of Madonna’s full performance and costume fail.

Unfortunately this isn’t the first time Madonna has had a tumble in front of millions of people. Back in 2012 she played at the half time show of the Super Bowl which is one of the biggest sporting events of the year, and getting to play the annual Halftime Show is one of the biggest honours for an artist.  So it was quite an embarrassment for Madonna when she mis-placed her step and didn’t end up on her podium when she needed to.

Beyonce
Back in 2007 Beyonce was doing a show in Orlando and she was dancing as usual, swinging her hair around, when she slipped down some stairs, on her face, rolled over and then got back up and carried on as if nothing had happened!

Then on in another show as part of her Mrs Carter tour, in Montreal during her performance of Halo she got her hair caught in a fan! She had a few people come and get her free but she just carried on singing the song. A True pro.

Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga like to stand out, and stand on pianos it seems. During a performance of You and I on her Monster Tour, the audience in Texas witnessed Gaga straddling a piano and the stall before she fell off it! Watch it replayed:

Fergie
Fergie has come back to the charts recently with her new single LA Love but of coure she started out in the Black Eyed peas. In 2005 during a show with the band, a growing wet spot was appearing in her trousers. Apparently it was due to not having time to go to the toilet before the performance as they were already running late.

Christina Aguilera
This one is quite an unfortunate location for an embarrassing moment to happen.
Christina Aguilera was giving a very passionate performance at most embarrassing singer-songwriter Etta James’ funeral, when half way through a reddish liquid started running down her legs. Her management claimed it was an excess of spray tan liquid, but it’s up to you to if you believe that…

Justin Bieber
When Justin Bieber was performing at the Arizona date on his Believe Tour, as he was doing his dance routine he suddenly stopped, turned his back to the crowd and threw up. The second time he felt this urge he dashed off stage before continuing his performance. Bieber not only completed the show, but even came back out for an encore! After the show, he tweeted that “milk was a bad choice.”

Katy Perry 
It seems like TV awards are a perfect place for big singers to mess up in their performances because in 2008 Katy Perry was asked to performed her then
hit “I Kissed A Girl” at the MTV Latin America Awards. Now of course Katy Perry is very eccentric and colourful in everything she does, her dress, music videos and live performances. So her props included a big pink frosted cake, which she jumped onto after the song had finished. Now watching the video the jumping act is quite embarrassing itself, the way she landed on it, it was a big jump and not a very impressive landing, but the funny bit comes when she was so slippery she couldn’t get up off the floor! She even had a member of the backing band try and help her.

Lil Kym
Keeping the theme of MTV events, at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys were towards the end of their Empire State of Mind performance when rapper Lil Mama got up from her seat and joined them on stage!
Jay-Z tried to subtly give her signs to get off but she was having none of it and even copied their pose at the end of the song, though she wasn’t even part of the performance! Jay-Z gave Alicia Keys a hug afterwards leaving Lil Kym stood there on her own looking quite silly.

Kings of Leon
An infestation of birds in the theatre that Kings of Leon were performing in  St. Louis caused the band to have to cancel the rest of the show!  It started off when a pigeon pooped into the mouth of bassist Jared Followill’s mouth. The band attempted to continue, but the pooping continued and the situation was classed as a toxic health hazard and the group had to leave their show early. They had 20 songs on their set list and they only managed to do 3. The audience was given full refunds.
