This weekend on Between the Lines we had 3 matches to occupy us, along with looking ahead to the rest of the weekend sport and back at an already eventful couple of days.

With Andy Murray through to the final of the Australian Open, we had the news of Serena Williams winning the ladies’ event. We also looked forward to what Sunday morning could bring for the Scottish player.

Other events we featured included the Superbowl, and our regular look ahead to the day’s sport.

Aaron Heanue brought us news from Hull City v Newcastle United in the Premier League, turning out to be a successful trip for the away side winning by 3 goals to nil. He also brought news from the Championship with Middlesbrough winning at Brentford and Leeds winning away to Huddersfield.

As the show finished snow was settling across the Brentwood Centre but the Brentwood match survived the weather.
