The Book Club with Sylvia Kent & writer Reg Haynes

Reg

This months book Club was a very fascinating chat with Reg Haynes who came in to talk about his superb memoir. At 95, Reg  is the oldest member of The BRENTWOOD WRITERS CIRCLE and also a member of the SOCIETY OF WRITER & JOURNALISTS. Reg says he’s “born in 1920 nearly on empty”.

In the interview, Reg who fought in World War TWO, talks why he is so anti war and how we can be at peace.  Reg explained why he believes that world peace is a possibility, the only real difficulty lying with persuading people to change the way they currently view the world and their place in it.

Reg has written Venturous Spirits which talks about War and Tasks for Peace. Available at Swan Bookshop at Upminster or Newham Books in Plaistow Road, or from the author at www.sylviakent.blogspot.com
