Show two: Dave Shalloe – The King of Creative

This week I had my first guest this week. I couldn’t think of anyone better than local legend Dave Shalloe.
The owner of Creative Studios on the A128 Dave and his team has done wonders for my band, Finding Miranda in the production of both our EP’s. It is not just us that he has helped out but hundreds of bands in the region over the course of the last eight years.
I asked Dave to bring in some of the music that he has worked on that he is proud of. Here is a list of what he chose and some tunes that I picked out for the occasion…
1. Rolling Stones – Brown Sugar
2. Them Crooked Vultures –Dead End Friends
3. Bloc Party – Helicopter
4. Foals – Cassius
5. Defaults – Eventually
6. Gulag Vakation – Days of Her Life
7. David Axtell –Saddest Song
8. Breaking Illusion – Shatter Control
9. Jake Bugg – Two Fingers
10. Finding Miranda – Whether Tis Nobler
11. The Kazans – That Girl
12. Kings of Leon – Red Morning Light
13. Chaos Theory – My Enemy
14. Tenek – Track One
15. Turbulence – Land of Confusion
16. Kinetic – Zombie
17. BreakForCover – Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll
18. Robin – Turtle Soup
The tenth song we played is the first play from Finding Miranda’s new EP “Find Ghost”. We will be releasing that shortly. Also included is a band that I met at the O2 in Islington named the Kazans, who are a great young band originating from Harlow and Southend, they are released their EP also entitled “That Girl” which you can find on iTunes.
Next week in preparation of my trip to Scotland to watch England in my first ever football away game, my theme will be “Scotland act vs England act”. I’ll alternate between the two, so the first two bands Dananananakroyd will be up against Foals.
