IT’S MY BIRTHDAY! I opened the show with Altered Images ‘Happy Birthday’ obviously!

This week I featured “Wild Boys”. The band are widely regarded as the best LIVE 80s Function band in the UK today. Having formed in the summer of 2009 Wild Boys have set very high standards with their vast performing experience and exciting shows, covering all the great artists from the best decade in music – The 80s!

The cover I played by Wild Boys was the Lionel Richie classic from 1986 “Dancing On the Ceiling”. More info about the band from www.wildboysband.co.uk

We talked about 80’s TV – Boys from The Blackstuff.
1981 – BBC1 airs the first episode of the comedy series Only Fools and Horses starring David Jason.
1983 – ITV broadcasts Killer. It would later be turned into a series and re-titled Taggart.
1986 – Part One of The Trial of a Time Lord starring Colin Baker is broadcast on BBC1, marking the return to air of Doctor Who after an 18-month hiatus.
1987 – Sylvester McCoy becomes the seventh actor to play the Doctor in BBC One’s long-running Doctor Who.
