Next week, Al Gale swims the English Channel in memory of his son Harry.

An old friend of mine Al joined me in the studio this morning ahead of his channel swim.

To quote his website: “Being told you child is terminally ill, AND that there is no specialist support on offer due to the hospice having to close – that would be so much worse.

So my aim in tackling this notoriously difficult event (as tragically proven by recent sad events) is partially to repay Acorns for the help they gave us, but more so to try to ensure the hospice is still there when other parents need their support.

Scale of the challenge: More people have successfully climbed Mt. Everest!”
