It was the hottest day of the year to date, with temperatures warmer than the Mediterranean and Caribbean. The air conditioned studio was lovely and cool as I welcomed Ian from BSCWT. It was fascinating to chat with Ian about the work and hear that they are involved in 31 schools in Brentwood. BSCWTs four workers and forty two volunteers lead assemblies, take lessons, organise clubs and also provide chaplains across the schools. After over twenty five years the trust continues to grow as there is clearly a need. Check out the website

Ian chose three tracks for us tonight and explained why he likes them.
In the second hour we looked at some unusual news stories. About nine thirty there was a flash of lightening and a very loud clap of thunder as we had an enormous electrical storm. We lost the recording at this point. English weather- don’t we love it! It was an interesting drive home.
