Calling all performers to play live in Essex Country Parks

Essex Country Parks are giving musicians, bands with an acoustic set, dance troupes, solo artists and street performers an opportunity to show off their talents – to create a spontaneous open air summer festival.

By taking part, they can inspire people in the parks to get interested in performance arts, while creating some great memories for visitors at Thorndon, Weald, Cudmore Grove, Danbury, Great Notley, Hadleigh, Belhus Woods and Marsh Farm Country Parks.

County Councillor John Jowers, Cabinet Member for Libraries, Communities and Planning, said: “There is so much talent out there in Essex and the Country Parks are giving performers permission to play so they have a chance to really shine. This summer let’s turn the parks into the most fun place to be in Essex.”

Details of upcoming performances are to be announced on Twitter at www.twitter.com/visitparks, Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/#!/visitparks and the Country Parks website www.visitparks.co.uk from 21st July.

Those interested in performing live in the parks should book a slot by calling Weald Country Park on 01277 261343.
