We are in the middle of various festivals taking place in both Brentwood and Billericay at the moment. This Thursday sees the start of the BILLERICAY ARTS FESTIVAL, so I was pleased to be joined today by a member of the organising committee, BARBARA BRADLEY. The festival lasts for 10 days and includes not just artwork of all kinds, but also many special events including live music concerts, Morris dancing, an open night Mic evening and events for children. In the second hour of today’s show we heard about a man who made the mistake of taking a nap in the sunshine of a car park belonging to an off-licence. Although the off-licence had refused to supply him with any booze, he woke up feeling very sorry for himself after a car drove over his head.
