19th June – Breville Toastie?

@Gr80sRadioShow

I love chatting about the 80’s – remember when the Breville toaster came out and every meal had to come wedged between two slices of bread, neatly sealed around the edges?!

Get in touch with your 80’s memories. Your fashion loves and hates, your favourite TV Shows and Films. What was the first record you bought in the 1980’s and which singers/bands did you have posters of on your wall?

We heard a fabulous cover of Billy Idols 1985 hit Rebel Yell by ROCK ROAD (www.rockroadband.co.uk) with vocals by Karen Jeffs.

MTV began broadcasting in 1981 with Video Killed the Radio Star by The Buggles.

Lisa Riley-Holmes got in touch from her garden to remind me about electric blue eyeliner and Julie remembered she’d had her hair cut short like Lady Di for the first and last time.

Karen Sheard said her favourite band was Erasure and fave song was A Little Respect.

And finally, we remembered The Miami Vice look and the Madonna Look. Good times!!
