Friday Night Extra 16th of May 2014. Chilling

It was great to be back on Phoenix98FM tonight after being away for two weeks. This was enough time for many odd news stories, that were scattered throughout the show. We heard that in his Sunday sermon last week, Pope Francis said that he would be happy to baptise Martians if they wanted to become Catholics. No guessing the track I played to go with that story. There was the village cricket club banned from hitting sixes after complaints from a neighbour who threatened to take them to court because of the number of balls landing in her garden. We learned that the man who made the metal teeth for the two 70s James Bond films was fined for not being registered to work with teeth after claiming he was on a Youtube video. Then there was the 102 year old woman in the USA who for her birthday went around a race track at 180 m.p.h. And let us not forget the dentist displaying a mould and crown that belonged to Elvis Presley that had been bought for £6,500. This inevitably meant we considered Elvis songs that with a slight tweaking of the title could refer to teeth! Never was the show theme tune more apt.
Play list.
