The Pangs Of Your Sadness Shall Pass As Your Senses Will Rise – 11/05/14

tumblr_inline_n24xy9uHza1qectsr

I would like to start this page of words with the following facts about this week’s album of the week :

1) The title of the album is To Be Kind

2) It’s the thirteenth studio album by the band Swans

3) It is 121 minutes of sheer exhilaration, an album that batters all of the senses. It is, a completely immersive experience. Not an album for people who prefer their music in three and a half minute chunks by any stretch. This is an endurance test. That a band 32 years into their career are making music this extreme, this brilliant, makes it a must.

4) It is the preferred music of the Wampa population who reside on the planet Hoth.

Okay, I may have made that last bit up. But I kid you not, buy it, lose yourself to it, it’ll change your life..maybe..sort of.
See you next week!
