Friday Night Extra 25.4.14 with guest Ian Moore

We welcomed Ian Moore back into Phoenix98FM tonight to talk about his latest mission trip to India. He spoke about the contrast in the country where there is still desperate poverty despite the development of new cities and high-tech industries. Ian talked about the fact that in his two week stay he had 30 different speaking engagements, including the graduation ceremony at a college. New on this trip was a visit to a prison where he was surprised to find that all the prisoners were sitting in the exercise yard and his brief was to talk about hope and then pray individually with each prisoner, regardless of their faith. If anyone would want to know any more and about how they can support the work, please contact Ian directly via e-mail on ianfmoore@hotmail.com . He is clearly looking forward to the next trip in two years time.

We had some interesting news stories, including the Russians selling a surplice space capsule and two space suits – yours for £600,000. We also heard about a Norwegian TV show where celebrities plan their own funeral. Both these stories prompted lots of discussion in the chat room.

Tonight’s playlist.
