I was joined in the studio today by GERALD CASH and on the phone, by ERIN PIZZEY to tell us about the event they are holding tomorrow in Brentwood at the Marygreen Manor Hotel. The event is actually the first in a series of training sessions directed at professionals working with domestic abuse and Erin will be the guest speaker tomorrow.
Tomorrow’s event is primarily about male victims of domestic abuse, although Erin formed the very first refuge, mainly for women and children back in 1971.

On a lighter note, in the second hour of today’s programme we heard what happened to the prisoner in Strangeways who tried to sue the prison authorities on grounds of health and safety.
