How the police have seen the light

It’s another MAXIMUM MUSIC MONDAY but we still had time to poke a little fun at the Metropolitan police.

Now they’ve not been enjoying a great press of late and are also facing many budget cuts resulting in no less than 65 police stations being under threat of closure. In spite of this it seems that they have employed an outside contractor to replace blown lightbulbs at a cost of up to £100 for each bulb that needs replacing. Perhaps this is another result of “health and safety” legislation, meaning that whilst police officers are often called upon to put their lives at risk on our behalf in their daily duties, they are not allowed to change their own lightbulbs when they blow! Who knows?

Your own town?

Meanwhile if you are on the look out for holiday accommodation on the continent, you might like to know that as a result of Spanish debt and the recession there, whole towns can be had for free. Getting on for 3000 villages and hamlets are up for grabs, so now you know.

Right I’m off for a few days holiday – but not to my own town! I’ll see you next week.
