Well, this week there is a whole heap of great music to recommend for your listening receptacles. As per last time there are two albums of the week. Firstly we have the new release from St. Vincent, which I have eagerly been awaiting for quite some time now. An album that sounds like a booze-fuelled night of passion with a fax machine all wrapped up in the morning after. And if that doesn’t make you run to your local record emporium then I don’t know what will. Secondly there’s Christina Vantzou’s No. 2. For fans of ghostly ethereal music that soothes as well as chills the flesh.
Other points of interest include a new track from the lovely Slow Club, which you can download for free (bless them) from their website https://slowclubband.com. And if you are a fan of droney excellence then you need the new Nadja long-player Queller in your life.
Finally, one of life’s great pleasures is to receive new music in your inbox of a morning, and this week I did receive something rather grand indeed from an up and coming singer-songwriter called Karim Theilgaard. Having released three singles so far he’s currently working on an album and if the first few singles are anything to go by it should be one to add to the must buy list.
