Lovely to chat to Richard Sharpe (on and off air) about Zenessex and his time as Synthesist for alternative dance music act, THE SHAMEN. A really interesting look into the music industry, dance music and Richard’s work as a multi-media designer, including fashion design, music and holography.

ZENESSEX
Zenessex studio in Essex, UK is the current space for all our projects , 2D/3D design, multimedia, fashion, textiles, buildings, objects, recycling and digital design. Technique of lost technology and skill, combined with cutting edge process. Richard Sharpe and Kevin Burtt have been a dynamic creative duo for over 20 years spanning over 3 continents internationally, and have been involved in the creative processes of events, project management, multimedia, web and fashion design fields in which they have endured numerous successful projects.
BAS 2014
BAS 2014 is Basildon’s forth annual event celebrating electronic music. BAS Productions highlight both new electronic talent while also spotlighting the legacy of the town’s musical heritage in …its Sound’s of Basildon night’s.
As the event has grown and developed, it has taken place in a variety of diverse venues within the town. This year, with the encouragement of Basildon Council, the two nights of live music take place at Basildon’s prestigious Towngate Centre (below).
So far announced are the band’s, MESH, SINESTAR, SPEAK & SPELL and MODOVAR. There will also be an after party with top DJ’s on each night. One at the former ‘Raquels’ nightclub where Depeche Mode played on two occasions and secondly at ‘The Edge Bar’ (both in Basildon town centre).
Tickets are £35 and includes all the above. They go on sale tomorrow (14 February) and are available through the Towngate’s box-office.
