On last night’s show, despite it being Halloween, I tried to steer clear of all the cliched Halloween songs, and stood firm with my song choices, all rock orientated as usual.

I was fortunate to have three brand new singles to play to you. two from unsigned bands, but also a brand new stand alone single from Enter Shikari entitled ‘Rat Race’. The song being the third of three singles released this year. The band will now go back into the studio to record album number four, so keep your eyes peeled for news on that! The two unsigned bands were; Super73 and The Red Paintings, both bands I would recommend listening to!

My track from the past came from Nashville rock outfit, Kings Of Leon, who have made quite a name for themselves since establishing themselves in England. The song was ‘Fans’, from 2007.

My track of the week placed as number two on a list of the top halloween rock songs, and was the well known ‘9Don’t Fear) The Reaper’, from Blue Oyster Cult.

As for the song that took my ‘And now something for a little bit different’ title, it was The Jackson 5 with their song ‘I want you back’.
