Lou+Reed+++Woodstock

This week the music world suffered the loss of a legend in the form of Mr Lou Reed. The word legend is often used far too casually these days but there aren’t many people who will argue otherwise in Lou Reed’s case. His involvement in The Velvet Underground alone was a testament to his genius let alone countless excellent solo albums and other projects that he was involved in over the years. An artist in every sense of the word, a man who never compromised his artistic vision, he will be sadly missed. But he has left behind some truly brilliant works of art so he will never be forgotten. RIP Lou.
My album of the week is the new release from Future Of The Left, entitled How To Stop Your Brain Is An Accident. As expected the new release is full of acerbic lyrics and braincrushing riffs that’ll brighten up anyones day. Thoroughly recommended.
