Colin Wade and Paolo Morena
A very busy but immensely enjoyable show today. I was joined in the studio by my two guests – first was Essex singer songwriter Paolo Morena – then Colin Wade from Brentwood Mind.
Paolo Morena is one of the most well known and respected faces on the Essex Music scene, and has spent most of his life singing and performing, either in bands or as now, as a solo act. We chatted about his life and music and Paolo entertained us with three live fantastic songs in which he used his looping technique. Paolo has a number of gigs lined up in the coming months – details on the above website – one of these gigs is Brentwood Mind’s Weird and Wonderful concert at The Brentwood Theatre on 30th November so I was pleased to also welcome the organiser of that concert – Colin Wade to the studio. The concert promises to be an exotic cocktail of music and comedy celebrating 40 years of Brentwood Mind and raising awareness of mental health in the area. Artists appearing will be Benjamin Bloom, Paolo Morena, Accidental Tourists, and there will be comedy from Sam and Cy along with Al Ronald who will be hosting the event.
