Mid-summer weekend and the STRAWBERRY FAIR is in full swing!
Meanwhile back at the studio I was joined today by LORRETTA, who has just won the TRUE COLOURS competition which was organised by ESSEX PRIDE. Apart from a very interesting chat we also experienced her singing talents first hand to see why she won that competition. You will be able to see and hear LORRETTA tomorrow at the ESSEX PRIDE event which is happening all this weekend in Chelmsford’s CENTRAL PARK.

Also on today’s show we heard two more tracks from today’s featured band, THE RIVER, recorded specially for PHOENIX FM by CREATIVE STUDIOS LTD, at THE BRENTWOOD CENTRE on 13th April. The two songs featured on my show were YOU’LL NEVER KNOW and BREATHE.
For a second consecutive week, I was left to my own devices by FRANCES CLAMP. Well not entirely as she 
had fortunately provided copious notes on her chosen subject for this week – the Grade II listed building in Brentwood, on the corner of Kings Road and the High Street, currently occupied by BENNETTS FUNERAL DIRECTORS.
