It’s that Monday feeling again!

Well it may be Monday but we’re already half way through that dreaded day and we had some great music to cheer ourselves up plus a few oddball stories on today’s show.

First off was news of a woman who having found an unexploded shell in her garden, thoughtfully washed it in her sink so that it would be cleaner for the bomb squad to handle. We also heard about a young lad who took a similar item to his school in Basildon for his “show and tell” day. Well at least his action resulted in the children being sent home early!

Two more stories in the second hour concerned animals.

First off came news that a Spanish suburb of Madrid has adopted an unusual tactic to keep the streets clear of dog poo. It seems that they take steps to identify the owner of the dog in question and then have the offending item returned to them by courier and labelled as “lost property”. I’m surprised that no one has caused a stink about that.

Finally we heard of the cat who has been traumatised by a mouse sitting calmly in the cat’s bowl and eating its food. Well I never!

Well that’s Monday done and dusted. Enjoy the rest of your week. See you tomorrow.
