It would be very remiss of us to overlook the national summer sport.  Essex has always had a lively cricket club scene and this season is proving to be no exception.  Here’s the latest Essex Cricket League results:

 

Premier Division

Brentwood (171-1) beat Chingford (170) by nine wickets to go 3rd in 10 team division

Shenfield (225-5) beat Buckhurst Hill (219) by five wickets and climb out of the drop zone to 8th.

 

Division One

Fives and Heronians (203) lost to Ardleigh Green (273) by 70 runs and slip to 6th

Harold Wood (178) lost to Hadleigh & Thundersley (256-7) by 78 runs and fall to 5th

 

Division Two

Billericay (198-6) beat Hutton (197) by 4 wickets

Billericay top the table, Hutton 3rd

 

Division Three

Old Brentwoods (133-7) beat Pegasus & Corringham (131) by 3 wickets and leap to 5th.
