Of All The Minutes That Were Taken Away – 21/04/13

Tis the time of year again when the slightly dishevelled and pastey among us (myself included!) get up at the crack of dawn to queue up outside our favourite independent record shops for this years Record Store Day. All in the hope of picking up one of the hundreds of special releases made available just for this day. Among the many were some choice releases such as a rabbit shaped picture disc of the Chas And Dave classic and a rather lovely split 7″ from The Lemonheads and The Misfits (which is pictured above).
If you want to check out what you missed and also learn all about the day and what it stands for then you can visit the following website : https://www.recordstoreday.co.uk/
Record shops are of course for all year round not just one day, but anything that raises awareness and gets more people buying vinyl is all good with me! And in the words of a past girlfriend “No bloody way I’m going to the record shop with you, I’ve got stuff to do today!”.
Anyway, I digress. This weeks playlist is entirely made up of Record Store Day releases.
See you next week!

1. At the Drive-In – Pattern Against User (Relationship Of Command LP)
2. Pink Floyd – See Emily Play (7″)
3. The Cure – How Beautiful You Are (Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me LP)
4. Misty Miller – Girlfriend (7″)
5. The Lemonheads – Skulls (7″ Split with Misfits)
6. Caribou – Bees (The Milk Of Human Kindness – LP)
7. David Bowie – Drive-In Saturday (7″)
8. The Beta Band – She’s The One (The Patty Patty Sound EP)
9. Kate Bush – Running Up That Hill (2012 Remix) (10″)
10. Chas And Dave – Rabbit (7″)
11. Harry Nilsson – Coconut (Reservoir Dogs OST LP)
12. The Cure – Catch (Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me LP)
13. Stephen Malkmus & Friends – Sing Swan Song (Ege Bamyasi LP)
14. The Bride Of Frankenstein – Main Titles (7″)
