The Big Sky in Theory

Easter behind us does not mean the end of treats, as more albums and EP seem to be on their way to us. So whilst the weather confused the music seems clear enough, especially as we had what maybe the first radio airplay of Steve Strange’s new track -Shameless Fashion by Visage, we also had my guess for the third official single to be released from Depeche Mode’s Delta Machine – Soft Touch/Raw Nerve.

Here’s a recent exclusive live studio clip…..

We also has a guest on the phone, Paul Robinson, who is a member of the three piece synth band- Low Tide Theory. Paul was chatting about their debut album: BIG SKY and the plans for the band, as April 6th is album launch day – LOW TIDE THEORY- website

RERUN: The edited version of the April 6th 2013 show

My music pick for this week;

Sat 06 Apr Patrick Wolf – Queen Elizabeth Hall, London
South London born singer-songwriter Patrick Wolf bestows the image and demeanour of a man far removed from the world of popular music

Thu 11 Apr The Fratellis – Electric Ballroom, London

Uplifting pub rock and beery anthems from Glasgow’s East End. The football loving lads follow in the city’s raucous heritage and unlike some of their skinny jean peers, The Fratellis can definitely claim to be a band of the people.

My Comedy show picks for this week……

Harry Hill, at the Hammersmith Apollo – 11th Apr 2013 • Hammersmith Apollo
Harry Hill doesn’t do many stand-up shows these days, so it’s great to see the floppy-collared loon back where he belongs. Joined again by his showband “The Harrys”, there’ll be a chance to catch up on Harry’s Nan’s latest

Richard Herring, at the Bloomsbury Theatre – 12th – 13th Apr 2013 • Bloomsbury Theatre
Richard Herring will be “Talking Cock” at the Bloomsbury Theatre. As an object of both pride and shame, inspiring both laughter and fear, it’s a symbol of power, and yet it’s incredibly
