Friday 8th of March 2013

Lydia joined me in the studio tonight. She had prepared some material about the show Wicked which she had seen in Town. She also read the events guide, back announced the Beatles and read a news story about a cat not being detected by airport security in hand luggage at both Cairo and Nottingham airports. Among the other news stories was the appearance of a comet and one Indian man planting a forest since 1979. We had requests tonight for Queen, Shakatak, Beach Boys, Ian Dury and the Blockheads and Abba. We also had tracks from Coldplay Aha, Air, Rick Astley, Otis Redding, Atomic Kitten, Johny Hates Jazz, Alison Kraus, Gerry Rafferty and a discovery track from Toto called Mushanga. Check it out, it is great. The chat room talked about SAD lights, comments about Essex by people frm other parts of the county and of course the music…and my cardigan! See you next week when I am joined by Valerie Long from Crossroads Care.
